DATE: Sunday, March 12, 2023 3 p.m.
LOCATION: Sebastopol Community Cultural Center, Sebastopol, CA
The 16th annual Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival will kick off on March 12 with a Curtain Raiser Event on March 12, featuring the California Premiere of Dusty and Stones (82 mins). This unique film captures the journey of a Country music duo from Swaziland, as they embark on a 10-day road trip through the American South after receiving a surprise invite to compete at a battle of the bands in Texas. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Jesse Rudoy.
Once the screening and Q&A wrap, the evening will take a toe-tapping turn, becoming a Country Western Dance Party, including food (BBQ, cornbread, salads) from A Guy and His Grill, and assorted beverages (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options). In addition to spinning a variety of Country Music for the dancing (Country Two-Step and Waltz, line dancing and East & West Coast Swing), DJ Joy Anagnostis from OutWest Dance in Sebastopol will also be leading line dancing lessons!
