Jesse Rudoy’s film Dusty and Stones kicks off the 2023 festival, opening the March 12 Curtain Raiser Event. on Sunday, March. 12 Doug Jayne talks with Rudoy about the most famous Country Music duo in Swaziland – “Dusty” Simelane and Linda “Stones” Msibi, aka Dusty & Stones.

Dusty & Stones will be screened twice as part of SDFF 2023: the Curtain Raiser event at 3 p.m., Sun. 3/12, a Rialto screening on Sat., 3/18 at 3:45 p.m. The film will also be available to stream, March 20-29 as part of the SDFF Virtual Fest.
